Although only 53% of Americans had plans to celebrate Valentine’s Day in 2024, up to 94% of them believe in true love, which means it’s worth kindling the spark between your business and your audience with Valentine’s Day email templates.
Your eCommerce business can stoke the flames by introducing the perfect offer for a romantic experience for two. Perhaps you can help people appreciate their friends by celebrating Galentine’s Day. You could even run a deal where the singles give themselves a gift through a great discount.
Since there are so many ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day, you need an assortment of templates to drive more opens and clicks during this busy time of year.
In this blog post, we’ll share romantic Valentine’s Day email templates, design tips, CTA examples, and subject lines to get your business the desired results.
Table of Contents
Valentine’s Day Email Template Types
Let’s get underway by examining the various types of templates you can prepare in time for your February 14th email campaign. They run the gamut so you can find a niche within your audience who should be receptive to your offers.
Romantic messages
Ah, Valentine’s Day. Love is in the air; can’t you feel it?
There are many ways to crank up the romance through your Valentine’s Day email templates. For example, you can send a romantic greeting. You could leave love notes. You could introduce the perfect offer for a sweet night for two.
Personalization is important here. A romantic greeting sent to just anyone feels cold and will not help your campaign. Use your audience insights to learn more about the target market you’re reaching.
And what kinds of templates should you use? You know I’ve got you covered there. Let’s take a look.

Exclusive offers
It’s time to heat up Valentine’s Day with can’t-miss savings! You can set up the first quarter for success with a strong sales record through the right Valentine’s Day email templates.
That said, it’s really important that you know your audience here. I would recommend splitting your groups by those who are single, those who are celebrating with friends (like Galentine’s Day), and those who are in a couple.
Your messages will be tailored differently to each group but should still promote your products or services on sale.
Another key to succeeding with these kinds of email messages? Send them early, like at the beginning of February. Valentine’s Day tends to sneak up on many of us, after all.
Here are the can’t-miss Valentine’s Day email templates.

Event invitations
I also recommend throwing some event invitations into the mix, so I included them in my Valentine’s Day email templates.
This romantic February holiday is about leaving the house and making memories. If you host a dinner or another V-Day-themed event, you can give people an activity to enjoy with friends, family, or someone special.
Since people tend to make Valentine’s Day plans fairly early, you want your email announcement to come even earlier, such as at the beginning of the month. You could even drop your announcement in late January if you wanted to.

Enhance Your Email Marketing
Share the love this Valentine’s Day with our beautifully designed, easy-to-customize Valentine’s Day email templates! Simply personalize with your brand’s images, warm messages, and CTAs, and send out heartwarming emails in minutes!
Valentine’s Day Email Design Tips
Your copy is ready, so it’s time to focus on the visuals. Valentine’s Day email templates will benefit from these design pointers.
Use of red, white, and pink
What are the colors of the heart? Why, pink and red, of course. White is another seasonal color that works for Valentine’s Day email layouts.
This email combines all three colors. The white background lets the red pop at the top of the layout. Further down, the pretty pink and red color blocks look great together.
Of course, no rule says those are the only colors you can incorporate.
For example, pastel purple works well with the red, white, and pink color schemes. It reminds me of those chalky candy hearts (which I love, but I know many people don’t). It’s fitting!

Heart motifs
The emblem of Valentine’s Day is hearts. Combining heart motifs with the above colors is a surefire way to express to your audience that your email is for Valentine’s Day.
The above examples show how you can use hearts subtly but effectively. As the Postable email template proves, the hearts don’t always have to be red or pink. They can be white.
Of course, everyone expects heart motifs in a February 14th email. If you can change things up, you should strongly consider doing so.
For example, look at this V-Day-themed email from personal care brand LookFantastic.
It still has a heart, but it’s made of makeup smudges. The red and pink color combination and the heart motif make it clear that this is a Valentine’s Day email.
Likewise, Estee Lauder created a similar design. Their heart was made of strategically placed lipstick tubes. It’s a creative take on a standard Valentine’s Day email design.

High-quality images
When showcasing romantic elements and couples in love, low-quality images won’t do. You want your readers to envision themselves in the shoes of those in the images. That’s hard to do if your photos are crusty, pixel-y, and poorly quality.
This email shows you how it’s done. You can see the happiness expressed in the couple’s face, which will make you feel cheery, too.
Here’s another example that showcases a romantic scene. A couple is pictured kissing while posing on an empty street holding heart balloons. It’s a cute photo made even better with the fine details.
Personalization
It’s cold enough outside in February. You don’t want your emails to come across as colder. Remember, personalization is important to establish that audience connection.
Use the customer’s name personally in the subject line and email body. Look into their purchasing and browsing history to see if you can offer them something they’ll like.
Taking the time to personalize your emails now can pay back dividends later. Your customers will remember what fantastic suggestions you’ve made to them in the past and will turn to you again for more advice.

Calls to Action (CTA) for Your V-Day Campaign
Your Valentine’s Day email templates are shaping up. You’ve got the layout, visuals, and copy ready. Next, you need killer CTAs, or calls to action, that confirm your message and inspire people to act.
CTAs come in all shapes and sizes, especially if we’re talking about buttons. While you might think a heart-shaped button is a surefire path to conversions this time of year, you never know until you A/B test.
Standard square or round-shaped CTA buttons perform best in most emails. The reason is simple. Processing these shapes is easier than more complex ones like hearts or stars.
Make sure to test the other elements of your CTA, including the positioning, size, shape, and color. In the meantime, review these CTA suggestions to make your mid-February email marketing campaign a winner.
